We understand that aluminum strip and copper strip used in transformer and cable industries require stable electrical performance, accurate dimensions, smooth surface and reliable edge quality. Therefore, we apply strict quality control throughout the whole production process, from raw material inspection to final packaging. Our quality control system focuses on alloy verification, thickness and width tolerance, surface condition, edge quality, mechanical properties, conductivity and packaging safety. Each coil is inspected before shipment to ensure it meets customer requirements and application standards.
Quality Control Flow

1. Raw Material Inspection →2. Production Process Control →3. Edge and Surface Inspection →4. Dimensional Measurement →5. Mechanical and Electrical Testing →6. Final Coil Inspection →7. Packaging Inspection →8. Shipment Approval
Raw Material Inspection
Quality control starts from raw material. Before production, we check the material grade, supplier documents, surface condition, coil condition and basic dimensions. Only qualified raw materials are approved for further processing. For aluminum strip, common alloy grades include 1050, 1060, 1070, 1100, 3003, 3004, 5052, 5154 and 8011. For copper strip, common grades include C1100, T2 and TU series. Material identity and order specifications are carefully checked before production.
Test Items:

In-Process Quality Control
During slitting, edge treatment and other processing steps, our production and quality teams monitor key parameters to ensure stable product quality. Width tolerance, burr control, edge smoothness, strip flatness and surface condition are checked regularly during production. For transformer winding materials, edge quality is especially important. We can provide round edge and deburred edge to help reduce insulation damage, improve winding performance and support safer handling.

Final Inspection
Before packaging and shipment, each batch of aluminum strip and copper strip is inspected according to customer specifications. Final inspection includes dimension check, surface inspection, edge inspection, coil condition, label information and packaging safety. Only qualified products are released for shipment. Inspection records can be provided according to customer requirements.
Test Items:
| Inspection Item | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Alloy / Grade | Confirm material meets order requirement |
| Temper | Ensure proper softness or hardness |
| Thickness Tolerance | Ensure dimensional accuracy |
| Width Tolerance | Ensure stable winding or wrapping performance |
| Surface Quality | Check scratches, oil stains, oxidation, dents |
| Edge Condition | Check burr, round edge, deburred edge |
| Conductivity | Confirm electrical performance |
| Tensile Strength | Check mechanical property |
| Elongation | Confirm ductility and forming performance |
| Coil ID / OD | Confirm coil size requirement |
| Coil Weight | Confirm packing and handling requirement |
| Label Information | Ensure traceability |
| Packaging | Prevent moisture, impact and transport damage |
Conductivity and Mechanical Performance
For transformer aluminum strip and transformer copper strip, conductivity and mechanical properties directly affect product performance. We can test conductivity, tensile strength and elongation according to customer requirements to ensure stable performance in transformer winding applications. For cable armoring aluminum strip, mechanical strength, surface quality and edge condition are also carefully controlled to support stable cable manufacturing.
Edge Quality Control
Edge quality is one of the key quality points for transformer and cable applications. Sharp burrs may damage insulation material, affect winding quality or cause processing problems. To solve this, we provide deburred edge and round edge processing according to customer requirements. Our edge quality control helps customers improve winding efficiency, reduce insulation damage and maintain stable production performance.
Deburred Edge
Reduced burrs for safer processing and better winding quality.
Round Edge
Smooth round edge to reduce insulation damage during transformer winding.
Custom Edge Condition
Edge type can be produced according to customer drawings or application needs.
Traceability
Each coil is labeled with clear production and inspection information, including product name, alloy, temper, size, coil number, net weight and batch number. This helps customers trace the product back to raw material, production process and inspection records. Batch traceability allows us to respond quickly if customers need technical support, quality documents or after-sales service.
Packaging Quality Control
Proper packaging is essential for aluminum and copper strip during long-distance transportation. We use export-standard packaging to protect products from moisture, impact, deformation and surface damage. Before shipment, our team checks coil fixing, moisture-proof protection, pallet condition, labels and outer packaging to ensure safe delivery
Moisture-proof protection
Wooden pallet or wooden case
Anti-rust or protective film if required
Strong coil fixing
Clear product label
Seaworthy export packaging
Documents Provided
According to customer requirements, we can provide quality documents and export documents such as:
Material Test Certificate
Inspection Report
Packing List
Commercial Invoice
Certificate of Origin, if required
ISO / SGS / RoHS / REACH documents, if required
Third-party test report, if required
